This is a great little recipe, easy to make without a ton of prep. This one would be great as a holiday dessert this season. If you make it report back and let me know what you think of it. It gives the option to serve it with Whip Cream or Ice Cream. I went for the ice cream and it was delicious.

Grandma’s Apple Nut Crisp Recipe
6 large tart apples
1/2 tsp lemon juice
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar – firmly packed
1/2 cup butter – softened slightly
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease an 8×8 pan
Peel & Slice apples, sprinkle with lemon
Arrange apples in pan
In separate bowl, mix oats, flour, nuts, brown sugar, butter & spices – mix together thoroughly until mixture is crumbly – sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake until golden brown & bubbly about 30 minutes
Serve warm – topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
